Lifia Teguh is an Indonesian-born pianist, composer, and producer whose passion is to make music that touches hearts and changes lives. Ms. Teguh won PSU Concerto Competition (USA) with the Ravel’s Piano Concerto in G Major and played as a soloist with the OSU-Corvallis Orchestra (USA). She was featured on Thursdays @Three in All Classical Portland radio (USA) in 2022 and 2023, and her composition, “Fiesta” was featured on Friday Happy Hour in 2022. Her piano quartet score, Liber Dangdut, was performed in the College Music Society & Association for Technology in Music Instruction National Conference in New York and the College Music Society & American Musicological Society Pacific NW Conference. Her arrangement for prepared piano Rek Ayo Rek, which transformed the sound of the piano into sasando and kendhang, “successfully swayed the audience on their seats according to the rhythm of the music.” (goodnewsfromindonesia.org) INDspire: Inspiration from Indonesia, her Indonesian-fusion debut album, is now available on all streaming platforms.
Ms. Teguh earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance, and a dual-degree Master: A Master of Music in Piano Performance and a Master of Music in Collaborative Piano from Portland State University, USA. She is currently pursuing a Master of Music in Music Technology and Digital Media at the University of Toronto through Nour Private Wealth Award and Graduate Teaching Assistantships.
