After-School Music Classes

After-school music classes are perfect for kids who love singing, dancing, playing instruments and meeting new friends. Our after-school program includes five music clubs. These clubs allow children aged 6 to 10 to explore their musical interests, creativity, and self-expression. They will work in teams in an environment that makes learning feel like play. Classes run weekdays on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays including PA days! You can select the days or clubs your child would like to join.
2025/ 2026 After-School Music Clubs

You can register your child any time during the school year, provided spots are available.
Getting to After-School Music Classes
Our fees include walking kids to On The Off Beat Music School from schools in the area listed below:
- Bruce Public School
- Morse Public School
- St. Joseph’s Catholic School
- Leslieville Public School
Our registration process includes a step where you can authorize us to pick up your child after school. Pick-up times vary by school, and students are supervised outside in our yard (weather permitting) until 3:45 pm. Please ensure they have snacks and water bottles, as we do not offer food.
If the student is coming from elsewhere, have them arrive by 3:45 pm. All classes end at 6:00 pm, and you can pick up your child any time before then.
After-School Indoor & Outdoor Activities
We have a generous amount of secure and private outdoor space where kids can run around and get fresh air. Additionally, our studios are bright and welcoming. Kids will enjoy a variety of crafting and other activities to break up the afternoon.
Performances
The after-school clubs, with the support of our staff, work towards a final performance every year. We feature the music they have learned, the stage props, and other materials they have created during the year. Performing is a vital part of musical learning. We encourage our students to showcase their talents at community events, like Leslieville’s Wanderlust. These opportunities keep students motivated and build their confidence. It also highlights the important role the local community plays in supporting our students.
PA Days & Public Holidays
Our After-School Music Program runs weekdays from Monday, September 8th, 2025, to Friday, June 26, 2026. Yes, that includes PA days! As we do not pick up kids from school on PA days, please have them arrive by 3:45 p.m. We are closed on Public Holidays.
Class Cancellations
Our after-school music classes must be reserved and paid for in advance. The lessons are conducted in groups. If your child misses a class, we cannot offer make-up classes or refunds.
Our teachers are professional musicians, and periodically need to adjust their availability to accommodate their performance schedule. We will provide a substitute teacher for those occasions.
We require 4-weeks’ notice if your child wants to exit the program. Please review our comprehensive school policy, as we will request that you accept our terms during registration.
On The Off Beat Music School is a family-owned and community-based music school located in Leslieville, Toronto.
