Private Event Music

In addition to teaching, our faculty members also offer private event music performances. They are among Toronto’s top musicians, having performed at venues ranging from small to large worldwide. You may have even seen us at music festivals and big stages around Toronto.

Live Music adds class and atmosphere to any event. We can perform at your wedding, private backyard party, or corporate event. Our musicians offer a diverse range of styles, catering to a wide range of musical tastes and needs.

Weddings

Karla Garcia Silva – Solo Classical Guitar

OTOB musicians have transformed countless weddings into unforgettable celebrations, crafting soundtracks that linger long after the last dance. Imagine a classical pianist setting a romantic tone for your ceremony, silky jazz drifting through cocktail hour, or a lively rock band igniting the dance floor. Dreaming of a big band? We can do that too, with an 18-piece ensemble for an unforgettable experience.

Choose beloved wedding classics or let us know the songs that hold special meaning for you. We will design a musical journey as unique as your love. If you would rather leave it to us, we will ensure every detail is taken care of and freeing you up to enjoy the day.

Corporate Events/Private Parties

As featured in the Toronto Star! We kept the music alive for the public from the school grounds when the city fell silent during the pandemic lockdowns. Jazz Trio Carissa Neufeld (piano), Michael Skinner (drums) and Rob McBride (bass).

Elevate your corporate event with the elegance of live music. Whether you prefer the gentle touch of a classical guitarist, the infectious rhythms of a jazz ensemble, or the energy of a pop singer and guitarist, you choose the instruments, style, and timing. Enjoy jazz melodies during dinner, then shift to a livelier mood as the evening unfolds.

Local Fundraising Events/Street Parties

Bringing music to street parties and fundraisers where energy and community truly come alive is pure joy for us! The open air transforms into a stage, each note weaving through laughter, dancing, and shared smiles. There is magic in seeing strangers tap their feet, sing along. Whether raising funds or celebrating togetherness, live street performances remind us that music is not only heard, but felt, uniting people in the most uplifting way. We love supporting our local community and have frequently donated OTOB gift certificates for silent auctions!

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

This depends on the number of musicians and how long you’d like them for. Typically, we charge $100 per musician per hour, and have a 2-hour minimum for any performance.

Who provides the equipment/instruments?

Our musicians will bring all the necessary instruments, amps, PA system, etc. The only item we generally require is an electric outlet.

Can you perform outdoors?

We enjoy performing outdoors and will require a canopy or a tent.

What happens if it rains at an outdoor event?

We request a rain plan for outdoor events. Our instruments are expensive and fragile, and we cannot expose them to rain. We can relocate to an indoor space, but we cannot offer refunds for such occurrences.

What styles of music can you play?

You can choose anything from classical, jazz, rock, R&B, Blues, or Top 40. We’ll send you suggestions and videos to help you narrow your choices. You can also request specific songs. When special requests require us to find charts and prepare musicians, we may add a surcharge.

How much set-up time do you require?

Typically, we like to arrive early and set up at least an hour before the performance starts. We will arrange our arrival time with you to ensure everything runs seamlessly.

Will you need to visit the venue in advance?

Generally, no. We have worked at many different venues and know the drill. All we require is sufficient space for the number of musicians and an electrical outlet nearby.

Will you need the venue for a practice session?

No, we rehearse at our own location and at our own time.

Do your musicians require breaks?

We are athletes of the smaller muscles (fingers, wrists)! Hence, we require physical and mental breaks. Typically, we play for 45 minutes and take a 15-minute break for each hour. We can provide background music that matches the same musical style and vibe during those breaks.
