Sarah is a classically trained pianist who graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Piano Performance under the tutelage of her mentor, Sue Black in 2022. Her favourite composers are Chopin and Debussy. Sarah has accompanied for numerous choirs and won several awards for music and academics during her musical education.
Sarah has been teaching private piano lessons for several years and uses her classroom to provide an effective learning experience where students can feel comfortable making mistakes. It’s all part of the process, after all! Sarah’s students have received high marks on RCM exams – one of her students received the highest RCM mark in Ontario for her level and was asked to perform at the RCM honours recital.
Sarah prepared for her University audition at York University at On the Off Beat Music School under piano teacher Sarah Westbrook – she is one of our own and is now teaching at OTOB!
